Jim did the rabbeting cuts on the back of the auto bay attic door panel...

Testing it out on the door frame...

Then gluing it all together!

He also starting gluing together pieces to make our bedroom door!

Jim was having slipping issues with the chuck on the drill press - so he bought a better chuck.  You can see the quality difference between the two!

Jim had made this bracket back in Ohio - he wants to make another one for use in the pole barn.

So he got pieces cut and holes drilled...

Then donned his welding helmet to do some welding...

He has the main vertical section done...

At the end of the day, we took a trip into Lowe's.  The window for the dormer came in so we wanted to get that.  Since the plan to pick up plywood in the box truck didn't work out, Jim had to come up with Plan B for now.  He was able to get two pieces of plywood in the back of the 4Runner - now he'll be able to continue working on the dormer structure.

The caliper Jim just ordered for the box truck brake came in this afternoon - that was very fast!  Jim will take it up to Tubbs in the morning.
High 76/Low 55 - gorgeous!
