Jim had to take care of some Craigslist work this morning but then he headed back up on the stairwell roof.  The first step was to start removing the roof underlayment...

Once he got the first section cut and folded back, he had to take off some roof shingles...

Action shot of Jim throwing a shingle onto the platform!

Next he had to remark his measurement lines of the inside opening...

First clip angle being put into place...

At this point, it was time for lunch and to let the roof cool down a bit.  Meanwhile, Jim worked in the metal shop, getting more steel cut and prepped for future projects...

Once the sun moved over, Jim was back up on the roof, putting up the rest of the clip angles.

First wall stud - making sure it's nice and straight.

Once all the studs were set, Jim put a piece of track on top...

A brace in the corner to keep everything in place...

Jim was just trying out a rafter to see how it will fit - this dormer is going to look really nice!

High 81/Low 58 - beautiful!
