All done - hopefully next coat tomorrow.
Jim got out his remaining copper and started planning out how he wanted to use it for the dormer flashing.
Starting to cut pieces for step flashing...
Jim wanted to investigate the smoke issue on the box truck - the guys at Tubbs had told him to check the temperature of the fuel injectors. He did that and found one that was not working - so Jim will order one and try to replace it. Jim replaced all of these injectors when he rebuilt so much of the engine in Ohio. In fact, he had major issues getting the injectors out and had to take it to the Isuzu dealer for them to rebuild them. Figures - it always seems when other people are involved, there are issues! But at least having a potential solution for this problem is big - it will certainly present itself to a buyer much better if it doesn't smoke when it first starts up!
The 4Runner continued to really reek after being closed up overnight. So Jim flushed out the cavity again where the smell is the worst.
Then used the shop vac to suck up anything. There were two small mice bodies (no pictures!) so hopefully that will do it. Jim is still leaving things open for now and flushed and vacuumed again at the end of the day.
Jim got a call this morning from the company that was delivering the garage door for the pole barn. This was a pleasant surprise - we ordered it from Home Depot and were expecting to pick it up there. Apparently this company is the one who typically installs the doors for the big box companies so they delivered it to us - at no cost. Definitely saved time and a trip with the box truck into Home Depot. They showed up about 3:00 while Jim was cutting some grass waiting for them.
Bringing in the panels... On a side note, this fellow was very nice. Said multiple times how beautiful the property was and said the house looked like a castle. He's my new favorite delivery guy. 😊
After the garage door was safely tucked in the pole barn for now, Jim headed out to the roofing company to pick up another roll of copper.
