The inside view...
The new Mini didn't come with a license plate mount for those lucky states that don't have to have front plates. So you had the option of drilling into the front bumper area and using their adaptor or they sell a side mount system. We decided it would look and work better to be in the middle. They did design two dimples in the plastic bumper for easier attachment. The adaptor makes a nice fit for the plate.
Jim's next job was to work on the inside of the dormer area. He took down all the insulation...
Then had to unscrew the temporary steel studs he had placed here.
Then he had to pry the steel off...
Taking off the last one...
There were some screws that Jim couldn't get from the outside so he had to use his nippers and pull them out through the sheathing.
Just for completeness, Jim decided to put house wrap on the sides of the dormer. He was able to put this side on upside down and will use the mirror piece for the other side.
First he had to put a few more screws in on this side...
Then put the house wrap into place...
Our little house on our house is all done for now!
We are supposed to have some rain again this evening (hopefully we won't lose power again!), so Jim used the end of the day to cut some grass.
