8.6.2017

Jim started the day off working in the bathroom - got this corner done.

For now, he's leaving the area behind all of the water lines open - so he moved to the next cavity in the wood shop itself.

Jim had painted all the primed shingles this morning, so after lunch, we were back outside putting them up.

Working up next to the roof...  (Yes, this is the same day even though Jim has on a different shirt.  It was one of those days that was warm when the sun was out and a bit cooler if it ducked behind a cloud!)

This side is all done except for the small cut pieces next to the freeze board!

Jim started cutting a few of the small pieces and I got them primed.  These all have to be pre-drilled before he can attach them.

Then it was over to the other side where flashing was very complicated.  Jim had to make a little wooden trim piece first that the deflector sat on and then there were 3 different pieces of flashing to get to this point!

End-of-the-day...Jim is now past the difficult portion (until he gets to the very top!) and will be able to continue putting step flashing and shingles up this roof portion.

High 72/Low  54 - beautiful!
