We're having beautiful weather - just about 70 and the nights are down into the upper 40s! In fact, Jim heard the heater kick on in the middle of the night and got up to adjust the thermostat. I don't want to hurry fall along at all, but we're enjoying these temperatures now.
Jim did some more painting today - both knee braces are all painted now. Beautiful!
Then he was back to putting up shingles...
While I painted more....
Back up on the scaffolding to work on the siding around the window...
He's done with all of the full-size shingles now! So it's just the cut ones and then the freeze board - then the back will be all sided!
Mid-afternoon, we transitioned to drywall. Jim got the first big piece cut for the wall.
It took some acrobatics to get enough leverage to drive the screws in...
Jim used the cut-off from the first piece to make sure he got the angle right for the next piece. As you can see, it was absolutely a perfect fit to be able to do this wall in one piece. Once Jim extended the angle, it came out just a hair below the corner of the drywall.
Putting that piece up into place...
Starting to fasten it down...
Cutting the outlet and media boxes...
Then cutting the edge of the closet door frame...
Putting up the small ceiling piece in the closet...
This next piece was a tight fit. The lift didn't go low enough so I held it from below while Jim got it in place and was then able to manipulate it into the space.
Our bedroom is really starting to take shape!
After I left, Jim finished fastening this piece and then got things prepped for tomorrow.
