8.23.2017

In true Camelot fashion, we had a little rain overnight.  It was just enough to give us some needed rain but not enough to cause any run-off issues around the opening in the back of the house, thanks to Jim's grading.  The rain was all gone in the morning and left us with cooler temps and lower humidity - perfect!

Lots of progress on a lot of different fronts today.  Jim finished up all the screws in the woodshop bathroom drywall that he and Kyle got up this weekend.  Then he got the next piece up - this one is important because Jim wanted the area around the toilet drywalled before we start thinking about putting down the flooring.

He continues to work on the siding in the back corner...

In fact, we are down to these few shingles!  It's pretty amazing - we had so many shingles stockpiled that they took up 3 rows the length of the auto bay!

So that meant that we had to set up our painting station again.  We have one square of shingles left so fingers crossed that we have enough to finish!

One batch all painted...

While I was painting, Jim got more siding done.  He had to stop because he didn't have enough variety of shingles!

The he moved back up to the upper window and put the flashing next to the window trim that he made this morning.  Plus he got the first shingles around the window cut and primed.

After lunch, time for more drywall.  Cutting the next piece...

Putting it into place...

This wall section had two receptacle boxes to cut around.

Next spot to work in was the ceiling of the closet.  This was another tough piece - Jim had to use clamps on the steel to hold it in place while he cut the light box out.

Then the slanted ceiling piece in the closet - we were able to set up the lift to help here but getting it and the piece of drywall in was kind of a puzzle!

But it's all up and Jim is fastening...

Then the next piece is up...

Getting hard to get good pictures of areas now but the closet slanted ceiling area is done.

We had another cut-off piece to continue working on the knee wall area...

 Last piece here...

We just have one little piece to go in the main area of the bedroom!

It was getting late but we wanted to get one more piece up - this was the lower ceiling area in the master bedroom.

Up in place and Jim is putting fasteners in...

High 73/Low 51 - perfect!
