Jim spent the morning doing all kinds of siding prep work - he made the freeze board for the back along with starter strips and cuts lots of shingles for the last row. In between jobs, I got things primed.
The rest of the short day was devoted to drywall in the master bedroom. In anticipation of the next upper wall piece, Jim put a cleat in next to the installed piece to have something to attach the new piece to as well as to connect them for more strength.
Cutting the next piece...
It's up in place - Jim and I both stood on ladders to hold it in place until he could get the first couple screws in.
Cutting off the extra next to the ceiling of the other space to get a good fit.
Looks amazing!
Putting up the last piece...
Wow - I love the way this area looks!
That wall done, we moved back into the closet and put up the next piece on the slanted wall.
Then we got the first wall piece installed.
A big Happy Birthday to my mom!
Sure wish we could be there to celebrate but we'll make it up soon! Love you much!
