Jim worked on doing the top of the stud area that I worked on yesterday. Then he taped up the hole on the sill and got the top fiberglass done. He started working on the other window too.
Jim took off the tape from the first piece of siding underneath the porthole...looks good!
Then he made the final piece - he had to do it twice because it's so small on one end that it cracked off. I got it primed - we'll get it painted and installed soon.
Jim got a paint roller with a different nap and painted the inside of the door today. It turned out really well.
The rest of the day was spent working on scaffolding. He had taken most of the planks away from this side so it took awhile to get things set up so that he could climb up and start taking the top two sections down.
Still needed to tweak the site a bit so that the scaffolding would fit nicely in this area.
But by the end of the day, Jim got the first section all set up and ready to go. He started planning out the next siding steps - including starting to make another mounting trim block for the electric pull box for the cable and gas line.
High 77/Low 53 - gorgeous! |
