He also got more fascia board cut and beveled and then primed, painted and predrilled.
Then it was outside to put the first piece up. Again, this was a long piece so it required both of us to try and get it in place underneath the drip edge.
Once that piece was in place, fastened down and screw heads caulked, time for the next piece!
That piece is all fastened in place and Jim is caulking the seam...
Cutting the soffit is next...
Getting the soffit underneath the rafter tails, on top of the brick and in place in the front is quite the challenge.
But all fit well and Jim is fastening it in place.
Then we got the next piece done (shadows made it hard to get good pictures!).
This is what really makes us feel good - you can definitely see from inside the auto bay what a huge difference having the soffit on makes. Everything is closed off from the elements.
This is a bit of an early day but after I left, Jim got the next piece of fascia board cut and beveled and even painted so we will be ready to go tomorrow!
