12.12.2016

We definitely got some snow overnight and into this morning - just about the 6-8" they predicted.  Jim headed out this morning to do snow plowing - but before he even got to Angel, he saw an elderly woman out trying to shovel her walk.  So...amazing man that he is!...he stopped and shoveled her walk for her!

There was more snow at Angel than at the apartment, plus it doesn't help that the plows come by and the snow gets piled up at the end of the driveway.  But the good news is that the new Bobcat with its more aggressive tracks does a much better job with snow removal.

The after-plowing shot.  For the moment, the snow guards are doing their job and keeping the snow on the roof.  However, the snow was wet and heavy and before long, the roof was pretty clear.  Of course, all that snow falls onto the front of the building, so at the end of the day Jim had to scoop up and dump all that snow.  It's incredible when the snow comes off the roof though - it sounds like an avalanche or a freight train!

One more snow picture...one of the platforms on the scaffolding in the back of the building.

Jim came home for lunch after all the snow plowing and we headed to the property afterwards.  Here Jim is putting up the last stud in this area.

Then he had to fasten all these studs in place, while working in some tight spaces!

Next was cutting the lower track for the rest of this wall...

Fastening the other side of the studs is really difficult sometimes - and this was definitely one of those times.  Jim had to drill a bigger hole in the front and use a long bit to fasten the screw on the other side.

Then putting up the remaining two studs on this wall.

Next was the top track for the front wall of the bathroom...

Then Jim cut a section of angle - he will use this to fasten drywall for our ceiling.

Unfortunately, Jim wasn't done with snow removal once he got home either.  They have yet to plow the parking lot at the apartment and it's pretty treacherous.  Jim shoveled out the walkway so at least that's done.
