12.26.2016

We had a cold start to the day - the wind chill was well below zero.  Then we had some period of freezing rain - our trip back to the property after lunch was a bit harrowing!

This morning, Jim got the last ceiling joist in place and fastened in the hallway area.

He also got the track installed to use to attach the ceiling joists in the second bedroom.

After lunch, we had a lot of fun talking about the kitchen wall layout!  Here Jim is marking hallway measurements.

He got out his laser plumb level and square - I've been calling it the laser level but that's not quite accurate!   Jim was marking the outside wall of the second bedroom.

Then marking the lines on the ceiling so he will know where to attach track.

We could have started on the lower wall board but we forgot to bring out our glue - we've been keeping it at home because of the cold temperatures.  So instead, Jim worked on the upper wall tracks.

Because of the way we want the wall in the entry area, Jim needed to attach a piece of track that was coped on the edges to fit totally flat against the ceiling joists.

Cutting the upper wall track...

Putting the track up in place...

Getting it totally aligned and fastened...
