Jim had a snowy drive into Angel...
...and the piles of snow in the parking lots are getting pretty high!
Jim worked in the morning getting things prepped and ready to go - including attaching the mounting plate to the blocking.
He set up the laser level to mark the spot on the mounting plate where the next wall section goes.
Jim designed our bedroom to have a little jog to the door - it gives space for the door to open and allowed us to maximize space in the room. Getting ready to put down the lower wall plate...
Attaching it to the floor...
Putting on the next piece...
And the last wall piece in this section.
Putting up the top wall track...
Then it's time for the first stud...
Then the corner stud...
Attaching the corner studs together...
Now that that wall is done, moving on to the next section - here Jim is punching holes in the bottom track.
And I'm attaching the track to the wall plate.
Putting up the first stud on this wall section - it forms the other corner.
Attaching the corner studs together....
Putting up the top wall track...
Don't try this at home...standing on top of the scaffolding on wheels (although they're locked) to reach the top of the first stud in this wall section.
We used up all the long pieces of steel studs - Jim will be placing another order soon.
This is the view from the hallway...you can see how the jog works into the bedroom.
