The weather we've had lately sure hasn't felt like Fall and on the first day of Winter, we had warmer temps - go figure!
I had to run errands in the morning and Jim headed out to the cold-formed steel company. He was able to pick up some stock pieces that he needed. So our bedroom wall now has all the studs in it! Jim still has a little more fastening to do but everything is in great shape.
Next was the little piece of track to finish off this corner.
Then we struck a chalk line between the top of the outside wall and the top ceiling wall. Then Jim went over the chalk lines with marker to make sure they stayed.
Then he cut a piece of angle...
And got that all fastened. He'll use that to attach the drywall to the edge.
Time to start a new room - the kitchen (which makes me SO excited!). Jim decided to change the plans and raise the ceiling in the kitchen to over 9'. He started by marking the location of the ceiling height...
Then attaching the mount and the laser level in place.
Then he was able to mark all of the steel with the proper level.
Then he cut and beveled the edges of our first ceiling joist in the kitchen and set it in place.
Making sure it's all level...
And attaching...
We now have 3 joists up and a kitchen ceiling!!
