6.4.2019

Jim got a bit of an earlier start because the nicest guy came from a couple hours downstate to buy the scaffolding that Jim listed on Craigslist.  Clay worked in construction and was very interested and impressed with all the work Jim had done.  It's always nice to talk to someone in the business who can appreciate the quality of work Jim does!  We spent quite awhile chatting and then they loaded up his truck with the scaffolding.  Nice to know it will go to a good home!

After that, Jim got busy in the wood shop, continuing to glue the door puzzle together...

Next he lightly sanded the cabinet face frame to get off any primer edges...

Then it was time to put primer on the entire cabinet...

Both cabinets are primed now...

In the afternoon, Jim spent quite awhile greasing up the excavator.  Then he drove it up to the upper driveway to make some dirt...

Grading off the sides...

Then he started bringing bucketsful of dirt down - he needs to build up the area around the apron of the pole barn before concrete can be poured.

He's using the many rocks in the dirt as a good base - it's taking shape.  It started drizzling and it was time to call it a day anyway!
