And then stops to unload.
The steel loaded up in the back of the 4Runner.
The door looks SO amazing! Jim is just letting it cure for a couple days before doing the other side. That will be a challenge to figure out how to position it for painting without causing any issues to the painted side.
Meanwhile, Jim got started milling the pieces for the door jamb in the master bedroom closet...
Routing the hinge placement using his jig...
He still needed to make the stop molding at the top of the door frame in the second bedroom so he started fitting that...
This required a lot of fitting - Jim makes this so that just a tad rolls around to the side of the molding, so it has to be precise (this isn't the finished product).
In the afternoon, Jim headed outside to work on some grading on the triangle. We want to get grass seed down soon so this was important to get done.
Looking so good!
Always hand shoveling involved...
He hand picked some perfect rocks to go at the end of our wall...
Looking awesome...
He dug out some dirt outside the man door and brought up a bucketful of gravel - he filled in the new rock area and in front of the door. Perfect!
This was a picture I should have taken yesterday - Jim spent a little time rearranging some of the big rocks at the bottom of the area behind the pole barn - it's really taking shape as well.
High 60/Low 51 - very windy and cool! |
