6.23.2019

Jim and I joked yesterday that all the noise from cutting the concrete would chase the birds out of their nest.  They were still there this morning...

But in the afternoon they were gone!  Jim will wait until tomorrow and then take the nest down and clean up after them.

The pole barn looked really good after it dried from cutting it yesterday...

Jim had decided to put one more cut in the floor so we got that chalked...

Then Jim started cutting...

Once the initial etching was done, Jim went back and made the deeper cut.  Nice arms!  😍

All done - rinsing off a bit and squeegeeing off the water.

 Looks really good!

Jim worked on making flashing this morning and then continued in the afternoon.

Then he tacked the first piece of drip edge in place.  This tucks underneath the siding and will allow water to drip away from the skirt.

Working down the side of the carriage house...

The scaffolding was in the front when Jim was working on siding, so he needed to go back and put a few screws in at the bottom.  He'll use those same screws to permanently attach the drip edge.

After less than a week, we have a nice coating of baby grass coming up in the back of the carriage house!  Unfortunately, because of that brief hard rain, the front isn't doing as well but there are some signs of growth.

High 80/Low 54 - beautiful!
