5.15.2016

Today was kind of a get ready day...Sunday's are always short days anyway and the temperatures felt more like fall than almost summer!  There was a brisk wind - the wind chills were in the 30s this afternoon!

Jim worked on the truck batteries - tried putting a slow charge on both of them with his charger.  The newer battery is fine but the other one will definitely need replaced.  However, Jim wanted to get enough charge in it so that he was able to move it up near the double doors of the carriage house.  The trim boards are supposed to be delivered tomorrow and Jim wants to put them inside the downstairs shop so the truck would be in the way of the delivery truck.  Plus, eventually we want to work on taking the flooring out of the truck and getting it inside.  So...mission accomplished.  He got enough charge on the battery to be able to get it moved.

We needed more shingles up in the apartment ready for Jim to install and to clear up floor space in the shop, so Jim took a Bobcat load out and got them moved upstairs.

Then we spent more time organizing.  We actually rearranged some of what I did yesterday - we found an old temporary door we had used in the house in Ohio and made a shelf over some tubs.  Then I was able to stack the tubs better along one wall.  We pretty much have the household goods moved out of the auto bay now.  Jim wants to move his workbench into the auto bay - we'll be ready for that lift before long!

Jim got everything ready to go for tomorrow's roof work.  It was time to put up another set of roof jacks...

Putting up the last plank for the roof jack.

He got measurements for drip edge, shingles up top - we'll be ready to go tomorrow!
