5.12.2016

I headed out this morning to go back to Lowe's - they had an extra percentage off today for Pro customers so we decided to get a couple of gallons of paint.  We had it matched to the exterior color of the windows, so it should look nice.  We'll have to get lots more when we spray the siding, but this will get us started when the trim boards come in.

Jim did some more organizing in the downstairs shop and then headed back up on the roof.  He got the zip tape on and then put the valley flashing on.  That allowed him to start back to work on the shingles.

Testing out the roof jack...

When I went home to drop off a few groceries and make lunch, our copper snow guards had been delivered!  Perfect timing - now we can continue roof work today!

I had to take a picture of Jim putting up the first snow guard, even though you really can't see it because of the roof jack!

But now you can see them!  I told Jim they look like roof jewelry - so pretty!

Continuing on with shingles...

Making good progress...

Marking the chalk line on the valley flashing...

This section takes a lot more time and energy because there are so many cuts along the valley.

End-of-the-day...
