5.14.2016

This is a picture of the work Jim did yesterday getting ready for the knee wall - he had to move the manifold for the Pex.  You can see the lines on the floor where the walls will go.

This morning, Jim used his new roll of copper and made another piece of drip edge and the next piece of valley flashing.

It was back up on the roof and time for another roof jack...

Bringing up the drip edge...

Drip edge on and working on shingles...

More roof jewelry!

Making good progress...

Putting up the next piece of valley flashing...

Once the valley flashing is up, now comes the more tedious filling in next to the valley.  Requires a lot of cuts and a lot of up and down!

Attaching the clips to the flashing...

Continuing with shingles and snow guards...

Taking measurements to keep everything straight...

The forecast was for some rain in the afternoon, but it ended up being a gorgeous day.  The sprinkles didn't start until about 5:00 so we were able to get a full day in.  Here's the end-of-the-day shot...

While Jim was working on the roof, I started moving the household storage boxes from the auto bay area to our new designated spot.  Whew...what is all this stuff and do we really need it?

After working all afternoon moving boxes around, I found an old lawn chair and made good use of it - I found a perfect spot to sit and watch Jim up on the roof!
