We keep having Camelot weather and our rain only comes overnight, so Jim is trying to take advantage of it. He measured the last ceiling joist and cut it to size...
Then started carving the shoulder...
Once both sides were done, he moved the Bobcat into the bay to carve the last two shoulder pockets...
He then moved over to carve the last shoulder pocket...
Once they were both carved, he switched the bucket for the forks and picked up the two ceiling joists...
Up on the ladder and dragging them over to the pavilion...
Starting to maneuver the first one into place...
Slipping it into place...
Moving the next one into place...
The ceiling joists are all in place! They slip in so easily yet the joint is incredibly tight - great carving work! Jim is putting the plastic back into place - rain is still in the forecast.
Mom was outside watching, so when the joists were all up, Jim brought her inside to check it out.
After we went inside, Jim brought the roof rafters up to the scaffolding area - after pegging, they will be next.
