Jim worked on the chipper this morning, cleaning up some parts and deciding on what parts he wants to order...
We headed outside in the afternoon - Jim started cutting the first side rafter...
This rafter has an angle cut that will intersect with the main rafter assembly...
Cutting the shoulder cut...
Both side rafters are made...
Doing measurements and marking of the complicated seat for the shoulder of the rafter...
This cut is different from the front ones, so Jim made a new jig to test out the cut...
Then it was time to bring up the rafter...
Setting it in place - it was a perfect fit both at the shoulder and the top...
Until he can get it pegged, he strapped the bottom connection and put a temporary screw at the top...
