9.6.2023

I had grocery errands to do this morning; Jim had computer work and phone calls to make this morning.

Jim made another jig and got all his equipment up to the pavilion.  Then he got started carving the shoulder pockets in the beam.  Here he's testing the top part with his jig...

Starting to work on the smaller section underneath the shoulder...

Using the Japanese saw to start on the other shoulder pocket in this bay...

Starting to carve the bottom section...

He decided he needed another jig block to test out the smaller area so he popped into the shop and made that...

Testing it - perfect!

These two pockets are all done...

He rearranged the Bobcat and then started measuring for the pockets of the front beam in this bay...

Starting to carve...

Continuing to chisel to make it perfect...

Then it was time to clean up all the tools and equipment and head inside for his run.  His new auger bits came in the mail today, so he'll be ready for more pegging...
