Jim moved up the rest of the timbers for the roof rafters and then got busy cutting them to size and cutting the shoulder...

The next step was going to be challenging - a double tenon.  Jim made two jigs so that he could test his carving...

This is the joint Jim was most concerned about - he has to carve out the middle, basically.

In addition, Jim has been bringing up my fall tubs so that I could put some decorations up - that's lots of up and downs going into the pole barn attic and then upstairs!  But things are looking quite festive around here.
