10.15.2017

Jim did a little inside work this morning.  He had bought some different angle corner bead and wanted to try it out on our valley rafter...looks awesome!

Then he got the rest of the wood spacer put it on the other side of the kitchen and started putting up the drywall...

Knee braces are all finished - we'll probably put a coat of primer on them tomorrow.

Then the rest of the short afternoon before church, we spent outside.  It was a glorious day and it was fun to be out.  We started working on filling in the back area.  Jim has to get drain pipe put down so it has to be graded to the right location and with the right slope.  Jim used a combination of the dirt he had made recently with the excavator on the driveway area as well as the piles we had remaining from the initial dig.

It required lots of hand shoveling to make sure to get good dirt against the house and around all the wires.

Speaking of wires, it was time to permanently put the last piece of conduit up around the main electric wire.  So Jim got the pvc cement out...

And pushed the conduit up into place...

Building up...

I helped out with rocks and some hand shoveling...

Continuing to build up...

More hand shoveling...

Filling in the back part of the area around the stairwell too...

Then it was time to take the last scaffolding tower in the back down...

Wow - looks amazing with no scaffolding and starting to fill in!

I left first to come home and get ready; Jim stayed and did a little more grading so pictures to come!

We have been pretty amazed at the number of pinecones on the tops of the trees this year.  Not sure if that means anything but there sure at a lot!

High 74/Low 46 - gorgeous!
