10.19.2017

I had lots of errands to do today, including picking up Lowe's and Home Depot orders.  Meanwhile, Jim was busy as always at the property.  He worked in the stairwell again - starting on insulation on the ceiling and again trying to figure out how he's going to install drywall.  He got some angle in place.

Jim did the first step in attaching the knee braces - he got everything leveled and marked and then drilled the pilot hole through the wood.  The next step will be to drill through both the brick and into the concrete.

But the main job this afternoon was doing the epoxy on the utility room floor.  Jim taped the edges and I vacuumed everything again really well.  The epoxy is a two-part solution - Jim had to mix the activator into the paint solution.  Then he poured it into his pan and we're ready to start!

Doing the trim work...

 Brushing the paint on...

Working around the back...

Almost done...

Looks amazing!

The plan was to do the landing if we had enough - we had just enough with none to spare!

All done - beautiful!

After we cleaned up from that job, we turned our attention to the back yard.  After I left yesterday, Jim brought more dirt down so things are really taking shape.

Doing some hand digging to get the grade the way he wants it to go around the corner...

Cutting the pipe...

Putting the next section on...

Putting the vertical piece in place...

Putting the next section together...

Figuring out the next connection...

Putting the vertical stack on...

We need just a bit more pipe to get it past grade...

Jim had bought 4 pieces of pipe - this is how much we had left over!  Whew!

The rest of the drainpipe system - all done!

High 68/Low 43 - gorgeous!
