Jim worked on the living room fan again this morning.  There is an apparent incompatibility between the cool switch we got and the fan, so Jim has to keep working that issue.  For now, he put a normal switch on and then it comes with a remote to turn the light on, change the fan speed, etc.  The fan looks great though - we ordered the same one for the master bedroom.

Jim did the first drilling through the floors to bring the baseboard heater plumbing down into the wood shop.  However, because the elbow piece is there, his drill won't fit underneath the heater in order to drill down.  So he first had to use a punch to figure out location and then used a very short bit on his hole saw to drill a pilot hole.  If you have very good eyes, you can see the hole in the picture below...

Then Jim had to set up his ladder on top of the wood pile and drill up through the floor.  Not the easiest way to drill plus Jim was covered with saw dust afterwards!

But it worked and we have a hole for the plumbing!

Drilling the pilot hole for the next hole in the second bedroom...

Jim had to disassemble his flashing roll on the brake and move other things in order to reach the very corner.  He'll be all ready to drill that hole up through the floor.

It was an extra short day because we decided to go to church in Saratoga Springs this evening since our priest was going to be away.  But before he left, Jim got a coat of polyurethane on the laundry room door sill.
