Yay - finally got my car back from the body shop after the woman backed into me. No more driving that crazy big minivan! Looks like they did a good job so all's well.
Jim was busy this morning making the door jambs for the bathroom door in the apartment. These pieces still need to be cut to length and Jim has to do some millwork on them but good progress.
He is continuing to work on the baseboard heating. He took the heater in the master bedroom down into the shop and soldered the elbow on the end to lead to the piece that will go through the floor. Then he had to do the first soldering in place. Scary when everything around this area is finished. Jim took pieces of drywall (they won't burn) and taped all the exposed edges - worked well!
He also spent quite awhile on the living room ceiling fan. He had bought a very cool switch for the light and fan but he's having trouble getting it to work with the fan. That job continues...
At the end of the day, we again spent time getting our storage space set up in the metal shop. We started bringing over a few boxes so we'll continue to do that. It's looking good though! Although we have so much stuff! Jim went through one giant box that was full of old computer parts/pieces that are basically obsolete at this point. He got that condensed into a small box and we did a lot of taking apart things that could be recycled. Whew!
High 81/Low 64 - nice! |
