This morning, Jim worked on starting to install the door jamb for the bathroom door - perfect fit and looks great!

Hinges on.  This door is just temporary so Jim is using what hinges he had at this point.

The rest of the day was mostly spent on baseboard heating.  Getting ready to solder the two pieces together in the living room...

All done!

Jim just got his order of more heaters so he was able to install the one in the eating nook.

Wow - all soldered together and down tubes into the wood shop!

The master bedroom down tube had to be soldered in place - definitely not easy.  There are two soldered joints very close so Jim had to wrap them as well as protect the wall and flooring.

It was difficult to see the joint he was soldering with all of that protection, but he got it done!  He also got the two pieces soldered together in the second bedroom as well as the down tube.

Once the down tubes are through the floor into the wood shop, the first step is to solder the Pex elbow connection.  This is another challenge - here's the set up...

Because he is soldering in the air with brass onto copper, he had to come up with a way to hold the Pex connection in place while he soldered, otherwise it expands when you heat it and would just fall off!  So he first stapled his heat shield to the drywall and then used wet cloths he wound around the connection and stapled to the floor.

A closer look at the before...

It worked and he also got the Pex tubing soldered on to the down tube from the corner of the master bedroom as well!

It was such a gorgeous day - just look at that sky!  I ran some errands, including picking up some orders at Lowe's and getting Jim some supplies.  As I was leaving after dropping things off, the house just looked so pretty!
