3.6.2018

Jim worked down in the metal shop this morning.  Since he now has the wire run into the breaker box for the furnace, he was able to close up that area with drywall.  First, he had to put the insulation back in...

Then he put the drywall in place except for the one piece above the box.  Jim was going to make this an access panel but has decided that he won't totally fasten it so that he can easily take those panels off when he's ready to run wire into the metal shop.  That way we'll be all good for final inspections.

Putting on the receptacle and cover...

Jim also worked in the control room this morning - he started these lines from the water heater.  Those are brass adapters to connect to the Pex tubing.

With some clamps that just came in, he was able to fasten some of the runs to the super strut to keep everything in place.

At lunchtime, Jim headed to the Drywall Center to pick up a couple more buckets of plaster as well as some different grit sandpaper that he wanted to try.

Then mid-afternoon, we transitioned up to the apartment to continue skim coating in the master bedroom.

Finishing up the last area in the master bedroom!

Next up is the living room!

Moving around to the back wall...

After I left, Jim tried out the new sandpaper.  He likes it better so he did a little sanding in the second bedroom.

Then he made sure that both of the heaters were filled with diesel fuel before he left.  They have changed our forecast and are now predicting 1 to 2 FEET of snow starting tonight and through tomorrow.  Combine that with 30 mph winds and we could be in for some major issues.  I was really hoping that Jim's plowing was done for the season but it doesn't look like it.
High 39/Low 25 - winter storm warning out for 1-2' of snow!
