Jim read up on the arc fault breakers and realized they had to be wired into the box differently. So he did that first thing this morning (they are the big ones sticking out in the picture below) and everything works perfectly now!
After that, he headed up to the apartment bathroom to work on details around the shower. Because he had to extend the shower wall a bit using the wood, he wasn't sure how he was going to handle this little area...
So he made a block out of wood and attached it...
That allowed him to be able to connect drywall so he got the top piece and then the outside corner.
He had to cut a piece of drywall to extend the back side too...
Next, he cut a piece of drywall for the top of the front wall in the shower. However, he's now trying to screw through 2 pieces of drywall into steel! He didn't have long enough drywall screws. He tried predrilling. He's going to end up using a different type of screw.
This is a picture of the taping he did before he came home last night - because there are so many intersections of tape in this little area, he has to do it in stages.
Mid-afternoon, he switched to priming, starting up again in the master bedroom closet.
Finishing up the closet...
Moving to the walls in the room. Goes a bit slower having to work off a ladder.
Finishing up this side wall...
Back wall is just about done....
He used up the rest of the paint in his tray to make a little start on the other side wall...
Then he switched to taping and plastering in the bathroom... He did a couple more areas in the laundry room ceiling before heading home!
