Jim started the skim coat process in the auto bay today. He first experimented with troweling it on and off, but he decided he didn't like that plan.
So he decided to use the roller to put the plaster on...
...then trowel the plaster off. This is such a very thin layer but it requires a perfect touch to make it come out right!

Stopping point for the day - always have to factor clean up time too!
Jim got the other side form off and dragged it out of the way. If we do another section, he's hoping to be able to reuse this form...

Just a quick measure to see how far it would be until the driveway fork...
