Jim worked this morning to use up more plaster, working on the pilaster as well as the corner next to the control room.
The rest of the day was devoted to tweaking the driveway to get ready for the pour on Monday. He had to go make more dirt by digging more of the upper driveway, then he used that to fill in the areas behind the forms. This area needs to be graded with more dirt anyway so this is a good start...
He even scraped a bit of gravel from the driveway hill where it gets a slight hump in the middle from our cars driving on the edges - he used that to put more behind the forms, as well as fill in this area with more dirt...
Expansion joint on the end of the concrete...
Then more prep - this old plywood worked out great for keeping our new concrete clean so Jim brought it out and got it set up again...
I'm sure he will continue to tweak tomorrow but things are in great shape now.
I saw this interesting mushroom at the edge of the yard today...
