We were anxious to check out the auto bay ceiling this morning after it dried overnight - and it looks fabulous! Jim went over the entire ceiling with his small trowel, looking for any stray pieces that needed knocked off and going over all the edges. Then he lightly sanded the top of the wall again since it will be primed as well.
Then it was time for a coat of primer. He also had to use a small brush to do the edges and top of the wall.
Last section...
All primed - now it just needs to dry in preparation for painting tomorrow!
In the afternoon, Jim did some prep and planning for the next concrete pour. First he had to move the pile of extra gravel so we could work in this area...
Filling in the driveway with the gravel...
We did some measuring and deciding where we wanted to put the curve in the area by the pole barn...
Getting the front edge framed...
Always a lot of hand shoveling involved in these jobs...
Starting to form the curve. Jim was able to get it pretty close but the curve was too tight for the wood. He soaked some of the pieces to help them bend - we'll work on it more tomorrow.
Jim also got an area ready in the metal shop for our new freezer - after ordering it in June, it's finally supposed to be delivered tomorrow! I'm very excited - I have really missed having a freezer, especially in these current situations where I try to avoid going to the stores so often.
