9.16.2020

So...this is apparently what happened at our house because at 5:00 this morning, the smoke alarm started beeping in my office.  Jim took out the battery but of course we didn't have a spare 9V like we typically do.  He had to eventually take the detector off and stuck it out on the landing buried under pillows on the chair so we couldn't hear the beeping.  Neither of us got any sleep after that though!

Jim started working this morning on installing the other two lights.

He ran into a few issues and had to reinstall some anchors, but he got them both up and rewired as well as redoing the wiring for the switch.

Then he got the two lights taken off the back wall...

In the afternoon, Jim wanted to do more work on the elevation of the driveway framing - we're happy with the way it looks now.  Jim got all the stakes behind the forms screwed into place.

Which means it is time to work on shoring things up.  He went up to the upper driveway and made some more dirt and brought it down to put behind the curved side...

Looks great!

And started putting gravel on the other side...
