9.17.2020

This morning, we headed down to Albany.  We first stopped at Sam's Club and dropped off my flat tire for them to fix.  Then we headed to the concrete supply company for Jim to pick up two rolls of expansion joint and more concrete curing/sealing agent.  Jim has a buddy there now who had his order ready at the counter, although they chatted in the yard for awhile!  Then it was back to Sam's Club to pick up the plugged tire, do a little shopping and head home.

Tire ready to be installed...

Concrete supplies!

Putting the tire back on.  Now that my car is no longer lame, Jim was able to move it to the upper driveway.  Then he'll be able to work on grading to get ready for the concrete pour.

One of Jim's to-do items is to go over the generator well before winter; he was just taking a peek inside today...

In the afternoon, Jim headed down into the metal shop to work on drywall.  The forecast was for rain and we did have some drizzle/light rain, so Jim planned on working inside this afternoon.  He put up the next piece of drywall on the back wall...

Then the last piece...

Protective gear on and stuffing insulation on both sides of the beam...

Then the drywall up around the beams and corner bead on!

It's been chilly the past couple mornings and we actually have freeze warnings out for this weekend so Jim put the furnace in the on position - and it came on this evening for the first time this season!
