Hard to believe it's Fall, although our weather has definitely felt that way. We've started to see some colors in the trees too, which is always nice.
Jim and I started the day by going out and walking on our new concrete! It really turned out perfectly.
Then Jim spent the morning doing plastering in the metal shop...
In the afternoon, he headed outside to start taking forms off the concrete...
This curved piece sure was a challenge for Jim to make and he worked a bit about its strength during the pour, but it worked like a charm!
The curves on the driveway are my favorite part - look how nice this looks!
Cleaning up the edges...
Jim cleaned off the cement mess from the plywood...
Then we got them restacked in the pole barn to use again...
We did some measuring and marked the first cuts on the concrete. These cuts are important because this corner area would be one of the first places to crack.
Sadly, the missing parts for the cart haven't come in yet so Jim has to do this by hand. First, he does the scoring with the wood as a guide (I'm standing on the other end!)
Once the scoring is done, he hooks up the water and makes the deeper cuts...
All done with cutting for today...
Spraying off the concrete...
It's kind of in shade but you can see that the water flowed just like Jim planned for with the slopes - everything rolls off the side...
All cleaned up for now...
Jim needed to get more plaster and some receptacles, so he headed to Home Depot at the end of the day.
