12.14.2018

Friends from Ohio (and loyal blog readers!) sent us this great book, "Your Dream Home - How to Build it for Less than $3500!  Darn - where was this book when we started - ha!  My, how times have changed!

Jim worked in the morning on tweaking the garage door opener - he wants it to be able to open farther if he wants to pull the Bobcat inside.  However, he made a new length of extension cord and tied it out of the way, installed two Genie LED rugged lightbulbs I picked up at Lowe's, and I got to use it for the first time today!  Quite spoiled!

Before he broke for lunch, Jim removed the panels on the north side of the barn gable.  If you remember, we had to order a new Z-channel so it matched with the rest of the siding.  He had put enough screws to hold the panels in place until the new trim came in.

Once he had all the panels and trim removed, he put up the new trim and started reinstalling.

Putting up more siding...

Almost there...

Putting up the last piece!  Now both sides are totally done; this is key because now the attic space is totally enclosed.

Once he got finished, he started taking down the top two sections of scaffolding.  He's leaving the bottom up just to help when he's doing corner work.

Before it got too dark, he started doing some beginning planning work for tackling the front.  The weather is supposed to be a bit warmer tomorrow so he's hoping to start on that next.
