I finally was able to get out to the property to work with Jim this afternoon - and catch up on all I've missed seeing in person!
He did more drywall this morning - working in the stairwell around the door into the woodshop, putting the J-channel in place as well.
He did drywall on the outside of the utility room...
This afternoon was all about drywall in the living room. Jim did some measurements where the tv mount will need to go before it got all covered up with drywall.
We got the next piece cut and marked and up in place...
Cutting out all the receptacles - 3 in this piece!
Time for the next piece...
Pounding the drywall to set the screws from the steel into the back of the drywall...
For the next piece to work out well, the piece ended in between studs. So Jim made a cleat and attached it to the side of the drywall.
Then I helped hold the piece underneath while Jim put in the screws...
Finishing...
This wall is just about done! Besides the shower wall, all of the drywall in the apartment is up in place - amazing progress!!
Jim got the rest of the fasteners on and then rotozipped the door frame - all done!
Which must mean that it's ready for the tv! Jim wanted to make sure everything would fit, so he put lag bolts in and attached the tv mount to the wall!
