Jim worked in the furnace room this morning - and ended up taking apart all of the hot/cold water supply Pex lines from the manifold!  Yikes!  As a refresher, here's what the Pex looked like before - the lines tucked behind the stack.

Jim decided that the Pex was in the way and that he wanted to use the wall area to mount the plumbing hardware, so he rerouted it to go in front of the stack.

Then after redoing it, you can see he has the hot and cold lines going up through different paths as well as all the lines going in front of the stack now, leaving the wall area more open.

At lunchtime, Jim took a trip to the Drywall Center to pick up more angle as well as a bucket of finishing plaster to try out.

Once he got back, he got busy making lots of man glitter (sawdust) as he planed the wood he bought yesterday at Lowe's.

He then added the wood on either side of the bathroom door opening, reducing the opening that was made to accommodate the 34" door he was planning to now work with the 32" door.

Before he could install the door, he had to take it apart a bit.  It came with an attached door sill on the bottom, which won't work with our tile floor.  He got that done and then installed the door - looks awesome and I can't wait to see it in person!

At the end of the day, he did some more plastering in the kitchen.  He got the 2nd coat on all the taped joints and the 1st coat on the screws.  Great progress!
