Jim worked all morning on the furnace plumbing.  Check out how it looked by the time I got there!  Figuring out how everything is going to fit has been a challenge - each component has placement stipulations which makes it tough.  Jim was originally going to put the pressure regulator closer to the furnace, but decided it worked much better on the other wall area.  But in order to do that, you can see he had to put up some drywall, then a plywood backing board, and finally the new clamps for the pressure regulator all had to be attached.  He thinks he likes this placement and may even put the pumps on this wall space.

Once I got there, we turned out attention to finishing up the taping in the apartment.  All we basically had left to do was the tape for the angled walls.  Jim started on the living room outside wall...

We did it in two pieces to make it more manageable...

Next was the other side - it required Jim to work off a plank on both ladders...

Putting up the tape - again we did it in two pieces...

Finishing the other side...

Living room is all taped!

Next we had the angled wall join in the master bedroom...

And finally the joint by the door...

Taping is all done!

The day's other project was very challenging.  The weather never seems to give you a break from worrying when you are building.  The temperatures warmed up today and we are expecting rain tonight and tomorrow.  Unfortunately, we don't have the side face done on the stairwell roof where the dormer window will go.  Had it just been cold and stayed cold like it usually does, we would probably be fine.  The toe boards are basically acting like dams that are holding the snow and ice back - which could cause issues with melting.  So...Jim decided the best thing to do would be to remove the toe boards and use Zip tape on the holes.  But that required a ton of work and multiple steps.  Early in the afternoon, he first went up on the scaffolding (shoveling snow off as he went) and got as much snow off as he could, using the broom.  There was packed snow and ice on the roof - Jim certainly couldn't have worked on it like that.  Then once I got there and the snow had more of a chance to melt a bit, he did the same thing again.

After working on taping in between, the third trip had Jim start to take the roof jacks and toe boards off.  Again - very scary because everything is wet and icy.  Jim got the first section off, dried it as best he could, and put tape over the holes.

Moving down the roof, Jim had to take the plank off the scaffolding and then try to reach out and work while standing on the edges of the cross braces and planks.

Scary to watch him working like this in such conditions.  But he got all of the toe boards off except the one over the overhang - there was no way to reach that without getting a big ladder out.  By this time, it was cooling down and Jim was afraid the tape wouldn't stick and cause more issues.  So fingers crossed that all will be well!
