1.20.2018

Another box from Supply House came last night so Jim was able to continue working on the furnace plumbing.  You can see that he got the sweep elbow soldered on.

Another part that came was the mixing valve - Jim has had to figure out how to attach that into the plumbing run.  You can see that he is bringing the plumbing for the valve out so that he still has room to attach the pump above it.  He also figured out the location of the upper super strut that will hold the pipes as they leave the pump.

In the afternoon, we switched over to plastering.  Jim was not happy with the angled joint in the second bedroom - this was one of the first areas we did and it was before we had the splayed tape.  So he put splayed tape on top to make a crisper angle.

Doing the other side...  He's much happier now with the way it looks.

Jim didn't have much tape or plaster left in the banjo - he wanted to use it up.  There's not that much more taping that has to be done and it won't be for awhile at this point.  So we'll clean out the banjo and get it ready for later.  So meanwhile, he went out into the stairwell tape the ceiling joints.

Taping the angled joints...

Jim had to get the other ladder and a plank out to finish the rest but he got all of the ceiling joints done.

At the end of the day, he spent time in the kitchen working on all of the corner beads and valley rafter areas.
