Thankfully, Jim's car started this morning even though we had temps to -14 overnight and the carriage house continues to hold heat in this brutal cold spell. Much to be thankful for!
Jim did lots of drywall work today - he spent all morning putting the rest of the fasteners in the pieces he had put up in the living room and the woodshop.
Then after lunch, he started placing some drywall - this piece is on the middle landing in the stairwell.
He got the rest of the pieces for this wall all cut and placed. However, the vent for the furnace has to go out this area so until that gets figured out, Jim can't install the drywall. But it will be all ready to go!
In the living room, Jim started installing the soundproofing in the front wall. Again, he needs to figure out what kind of tubing he wants to go from the lower to upper media boxes before he can stuff those cavities. However, this is all the insulation he has so another trip to Drywall Center will be on the agenda soon.
He even got another wall started in the woodshop bathroom...
The remainder of the day he spent on the water heater parts. He was able to install the parts yesterday that he put together - these are on the right side and attach to the heat exchanger. They will be what brings the water to the house!
