10.13.2016

It was a beautiful fall morning, although the forecast was for some showers around in the afternoon.  I had a doctor appointment but Jim headed out to the property.

He got the next section of head wall flashing made and installed.  He also got the spacer and the starter board put up.  He'll be ready to go with shingles (well, after some scaffolding is built).

Because of the rain possibilities, Jim had decided that it would be an electrical and car day.  He got the deadbolt lock put in the side door...

...and then he wired up a trouble light in the stairwell.  It is getting so dark when he leaves for the day that he needs a flashlight to close up.  This will help until he can get the other lights working.  Which he made great headway on in the afternoon.  He got power to all the receptacles in the stairwell and to the safety light (we plan on keeping one light on in the stairwell at all times).  Then he wired that circuit into the breaker box.

I painted in the shop this afternoon so another 100+ shingles are ready to go.

After finishing up the electric work for the day, Jim turned his attention to more car work.  Jim likes working on cars - except on old cars when rust has done its damage to all the hardware.  He's making good progress on the car but can't wait until he gets his car lift in the future!
