This is the conduit that Jim ran last night and attached to the trusses.  Getting ready for more lights!

This morning, Jim worked on doing the button welds on both of the stair risers.  It's so nice because Jim can roll the welder out onto the entry way and do his welding outside.

Using the wire brush after welding...

All done!

One riser set in place...bringing the other one up onto the landing...

Setting it in place.  They are basically ready to be fastened down now!  It's so exciting to thing we'll have stairs soon.  Unfortunately, we probably won't get the steel for the lower section for another week or so but stairs are definitely in our near future!

After lunch, even though it was still pretty chilly, it was time to move outdoors and get ready for some more shingles.  He cut some half shingles so he's ready for the wall side.

Getting all the supplies ready to go...

Putting up the first shingle...

Working on the step flashing...

Pictures of the afternoon's progress...

End-of-the-day shot - lots of progress made on this front section!  Jim had to go up and down a bunch of times to make all the cuts on the hip side but it's looking great!

Jim used up all the step flashing that he had made, so he used the rest of the evening to cut more pieces.  I'll mark them tomorrow, Jim will get them bent and then we'll be ready to go again!
