Jim spent the morning working in the workshop - he got the clip angles done and the bevel put on them.  They just need punched now.  He also got all the placements worked out.

He also made another piece of drip edge...

He also got the planks off the roof jacks on the stairwell and the bottom roof jack taken off.  After lunch, it was time to put the first roof jack on the house.

Working up the roof...

Jim is so careful about waste - we saved all of the cutoff shingles from the stairwell and the auto bay.  I sorted them by direction of the angle and size.  Now Jim is able to use those on the valley pieces.  The angle isn't exactly the same but this way there is almost no waste.

Time for another roof jack!

Putting up another piece of drip edge...you can see that Jim put up more of the drip edge guides all the way up on the side.

Fastening down the drip edge...

End-of-the-day shot.  Jim is all out of copper to make the next valley flashing so picking up another roll is on the agenda for tomorrow.  He also plans on going to the lumber yard to get the wood for the stair treads - Lowe's doesn't stock the size he wants.

We spent a little time after cleanup picking up rocks on the sides of the driveway.  Now's a good time to make sure things are clear for the lawn mower before everything starts growing.
