4.23.2016

Back to a little cooler weather today - which is good for roof work.

Jim again spent most of the morning working in the shop.  He now has all the holes drilled in the clip angles for both stringers.  He has one stringer totally marked with all the locations and is basically ready for welding.  He worked on the other stringer, getting it cut and starting to mark it.

Back up on the roof...Jim took this shot of the valley flashing...awesome!

Getting all the tools up and ready to start...

Time to bring up more bundles of shingles from the downstairs shop...

The day's progress....

Another roof jack up and continuing up....

Using the chalk line to mark lines for the next courses...

Measuring for the last piece of drip edge...

Putting the drip edge into place...

Drip edge all fastened down.  Jim has basically done all the shingles he can for the day - he will need to make the last piece of valley flashing for this side tomorrow.

Putting up another roof jack so that he's ready to move up...

Wood in place and ready to go!

End-of-the-day...amazing progress!
