4.11.2016

No roof work today - it was a mostly drizzly day today.  On the upside, the forecast had originally called for a snow/ice mix which we thankfully didn't get!

The delivery company actually called last night and said they would be at the property to deliver the flooring between 9:00-1:00.  Kind of a big window but at least they called.  Jim had put the truck at the end of the driveway before he left last night, so that was ready to go.  However, Jim felt very distracted all morning trying to listen for the sounds of a delivery truck.

The delivery finally came about 11:00.  The guy backed his truck up to ours and then Jim and the driver offloaded all the boxes onto pallets Jim had put in the truck.  All of the boxes appear to be in good shape, which after all the issues we had with Lumber Liquidators, was very happy to see.

Even with one ear listening for the truck and coming home for lunch, Jim had a productive day.  He liked the diverters he made for the stairwell roof, so decided to make another one for the back of the auto bay roof.

Then he worked on electric.  He actually took a light fixture he had sitting in the downstairs shop and brought it up.  He got the mountings made and attached and hung the fixture.  You can see to the left of this picture that he got the mounting hung for the last light in this center row.  He did quite a bit of the wiring for the new fixture also.

Jim got both risers totally attached to the landings too.  So all they need are some treads.  At the end of the day, Jim headed to Lowe's to buy some wood to use.  Since these stairs will see lots of construction use for quite awhile yet, we aren't putting high quality finished wood for stair treads at this point.  That can be upgraded at any time.
