I still think the roof rafters look like some sort of cool art installation!  This was the morning view of yesterday's work.

It was time to keep building up...and it's so much easier and less stressful to watch Jim work on the rafters from the scaffolding.  No more Spiderman moves!

Putting the rafter up on the other side....

Then Jim spent awhile putting up clip angles - here he's pounding in the concrete anchor.

These clip angles take awhile since he has to drill into the concrete and put the big concrete anchors as well as tapcons in each one.  There are only 2 left to go up now.

Then he needed to do some more work on the next set of rafters.

While Jim was working on rafters, I was cleaning the walls from the concrete pour.  Right now the concrete comes up pretty easily since it's still fresh.  It also rained a little overnight so a little bailing was required out of the shop.

In order to place the next set of rafters, Jim had to build up another section of scaffolding.

Putting the next rafter up...

...and getting ready to fasten it down.

These rafters are getting really tall now!

Moving over to work on the front side of the building, Jim has to contort himself to get the rafter up the scaffolding!

Setting the rafter into place...

Fastening it down...

Bringing up the next rafter....

Putting it into place...

...and fastening it down.

At the end of the day, he put up 6 rafters.  This view is from the side of the building down the hill...takes on a whole different look!

Jim ended the day looking over the lawn mower - he went to use it a couple of days ago and it wouldn't start.  He brought out his voltage meter to check a few things out.  It appears to be a fuse issue - hopefully that's all it is.  Hard to find time for vehicle/tool maintenance right now!
