Jim put the new strapping to use right away, finishing off the second course.
Time for a little more scaffolding work - getting the side car pieces at the right level, putting a plank on them, and then putting the next level of scaffolding on the end tower.
Then we were able to start work on the last course of sheathing. Now we bring the scaffolding down into place from the deck. Here Jim is fastening down the first piece...
These top pieces of sheathing require a lot of screws because of all the blocking at the top of the wall. But it sure is looking good!
Cutting off the last overhang from the Advantech decking...
Attaching the next piece of sheathing...
Now that the side scaffolding is in place, Jim can finish attaching the rest of the screws that he couldn't reach before...
Then it's time for the last piece! This piece of sheathing has to be cut for the roofline...
Setting the last piece in place...
The shop is now totally enclosed by sheathing! It looks so amazing inside and really feels like an inside space now!
And look how great it looks from outside! Jim had to finish putting in some screws at the bottom of the first pieces of sheathing we put up now that he has the right screws. We were hoping to get house wrap up but that will be on the agenda for tomorrow.
We're still thrilled with our floor! I swept all the dust out of it and it looks so good!
Then it was time to move a couple things into the new space! Jim has really hated having some of his equipment out in the elements. He has always taken such good care of his tools, but we really didn't have much choice. But now things will be starting to find an inside home!
